Wholesale datasets
Nodal prices and volumes are extracted from final pricing SPD case files.
Volumes include megawatts of load by point of connection and generation by point of connection and unit. More precisely, these values represent the average rate of megawatts during the trading period but can easily be converted to energy volumes by dividing by two. If the unit symbol ends in a zero, the 'unit' is likely representing many generating units at that point of connection. Load is given to SPD whereas generation or dispatch is determined by the model. Nodal prices are also included in each file.
The _F suffix in the file name denotes that the SPD case file is associated with final prices. See here for the explanation of why the file name might include an 'x' immediately before the suffix.
Files stopped being added to this location on 1 November 2022 with the advent of real-time pricing.
