Wholesale datasets
Prior to the establishment of the EMI website, every six months the Authority (and the Electricity Commission before that) used to distribute a DVD containing various datasets. This DVD was known as the CDS, or Centralised Data Set, after the now defunct section of the Rules (superseded by the Code) that required it. The focus of the CDS was data to support transmission planning. The CDS was cumulative in that each version built on and made redundant the previous version. The contents of the final CDS are available in this folder.

Datasets are collections of files that often contain large volumes of data and are available for immediate download. Dataset users are typically analysts familiar with the electricity industry and have a need to obtain a large set of data or specific data on a regular basis.
